| How
Does The DataDotDNA National Register
Work |
|
The information etched on your DataDotDNA is a unique
PIN (Personal Identification Number) that you register
online on the National DataDotDNA Register against your
Driver’s Licence, Medicare Card Number, Passport Number or ABN.
This information is accessible by the Police and allows them to establish who the legitimate owner is.
No personal details are kept on the Register.
Your DataDotDNA PIN is easily read by using the handheld microscope included when you purchase the DataDotDNA Accessory Pack.
This process involves removing one of the DataDots and viewing it with the microscope to read your unique PIN. |

What do I do if something is stolen?
If as a result of the theft, you need to make an insurance claim, you must report it to the Police and advise them that the property is marked with DataDotDNA.
The Police should issue you with a Crime Report reference number and you
can then contact DataDot Technology via email or phone and notify them of the theft together with the Crime Report number. This information will then be updated on the DataDotDNA National Register.
